About the role:
The Director of Business Development position is a full-time employment opportunity. This role will drive pipeline growth through identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, building relevant contacts, and conducting industry research. You will represent Command Education’s brand and be at the forefront of the sales process. We are looking for someone with an understanding of the luxury consumer with the right energy, competitive spirit, personal drive, and track record of success.
Desired profile:
5-7 years experience of business development/sales experience
A proven track record of results-oriented success and/or phenomenal customer service.
Experience or strong aptitude for developing and maintaining relationships with schools, private membership communities, membership clubs, professional organizations, etc. International experience is preferred.
Ability to understand industry trends and challenges, market dynamics and translate them into solutions and/or offerings that exceed expectations and result in a positive return on investment.
Experience working with ultra high net worth/luxury segment customers and organizing high-impact events, such as roadshows, exclusive dinners, or thought leadership forums.
Excellent presentation, writing, and verbal skills
Strong negotiation skills
Flexibility – Whatever it takes to get the job done!
The ability to work in a team environment (must play nice in the sandbox!).
A global mindset is very important. The candidate needs to be comfortable speaking with partners all over the world and understand the challenges of applying to a US college as an international student.
Key responsibilities:
Seek out new partnership opportunities to grow Command Education’s visibility through strategy, market research, cold calling, and networking.
Build partnerships with qualified schools, professional associations, clubs, etc.
Identify, and contact decision-makers to generate potential partnership opportunities like events, thought leadership talks, and customized programming in niche markets.
Achieve and/or exceed established sales targets based on an incentive plan.
Develop and maintain a sales pipeline.
Create custom presentations and offerings.
Conduct timely follow-ups to keep the pulse on the decision-making process and help influence the decision to partner with Command Education.
Experiment with different sales and follow-up strategies. You must have the ability to try new directions and be willing to expand service offerings.
Work closely with marketing and sales teams to drive cross-team efforts to maximize business opportunities as well as ensure best in the class experience.
Keep a pulse on the market and competitive landscape while working directly with the VP of Enrollment on setting the right offerings.
Compensation range: $80-100K base + $20k-$40k potential bonus opportunity (Base + No cap on Commissions)
