Seeking a results-oriented and experienced Data Engineer ready to take a leadership role in building and scaling cutting-edge data solutions having a deep understanding of Data Vault architecture, complemented by expertise in Kimball methodologies, and a passion for leveraging modern data technologies

As a senior Lead Data Engineer, you will be a key driver in shaping our next-generation data landscape. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of our enterprise data warehouse and critical data integration pipelines, directly contributing to data-driven decision-making and innovation across Assetmark.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and development of AssetMark enterprise data warehouse, strategically applying both Data Vault and Kimball modeling techniques to meet diverse business needs.
  • Architect and implement scalable and reliable data integration pipelines, seamlessly ingesting both batch and real-time streaming data into our Data Vault.
  • Design and build optimized dimensional models (star schemas) derived from the Data Vault, empowering robust reporting and advanced analytics.
  • Leverage your strong proficiency in Python and Spark to develop efficient and scalable data processing workflows within the Azure ecosystem.
  • Own the complete lifecycle of data product delivery derived from requirements to design a successful implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance for the data product
  • Collaborate effectively with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to deeply understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to fellow data engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion and enforce data quality, data governance, and data security standards throughout the entire data development lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and implement automation tools and frameworks to optimize and streamline data engineering processes.
  • Stay at the forefront of data technology advancements, actively participating in the evaluation and adoption of new tools and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data warehousing and data integration.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Demonstrated experience in leading the successful delivery of data products.
  • Proficiency in Data Vault modeling principles and practical understanding of Kimball dimensional modeling concepts and their application.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing and analysis and ability at architecting and implementing data solutions leveraging Azure data services and to design and implement sophisticated data integration solutions for both batch and real-time streaming sources.

Compensation Range: Upto $90 per hour
