About the Organization

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets to bring efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of the financial system. If you care about improving how markets operate through technology — while contributing to a values-driven environment — we want to hear from you.

The organization offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing teams to collaborate effectively across several U.S. states, Canadian provinces, and international regions. We also maintain office spaces for those who prefer an in-office work experience.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join a growing initiative as we continue to evolve and scale our fund administration service, addressing a significant gap in the market. The service has had a meaningful impact across the business through workflow automation, improved customer experience, and enhanced collaboration between general partners and limited partners.

As a Fund Accounting Manager, you will oversee deliverables related to fund administration services, including fund accounting and reporting for private equity and real estate clients. This role reports to a senior leader within fund accounting and includes management of a team of fund accountants at various levels. You will help shape the direction of the function and contribute to delivering a best-in-class experience to clients.

  • Review investor allocations for statements, waterfall calculations, capital calls, and distributions in alignment with partnership agreements, performance metrics, and reporting requirements
  • Oversee annual audits, including reviewing audit report drafts and related schedules, supporting PBC requests, and coordinating tax return preparation
  • Research and interpret recent accounting developments and advise on their impact

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of fund accounting experience with private equity, venture capital, and/or real estate funds
  • 3+ years of people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and team development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a high-growth environment
  • Experience with fund-level accounting and reporting, including complex structures and consolidations
  • Advanced understanding of complex accounting transactions, private equity structures, and reporting requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of waterfalls, IRRs, distributions, and capital call calculations
  • Strong interest in technology and in using systems to improve business operations
  • Experience defining system requirements and supporting implementation of new tools

We believe building a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture strengthens our organization. If this role sounds like a fit, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every qualification.
